This was a gut renovation in a historic landmark district. The owner had promised to keep the house facade intact, as it had been donated to the historic district. Despite this, many state of the art materials and equipment were used to include the modern detail incorporated into the design. Some of the inventive details and new materials used were “work in progress” – meaning we had to modify and tweak them as we went along in order to attain the look intended by the architect. The beautiful mosaic bathroom tiles were imported from Italy, with significant labor required to achieve the quality reflected in these pictures. A major hunt ensued to find stone jambs to match the imported tiles. We ultimately found them! The pictures speak for themselves – the house is absolutely gorgeous.
